With 20+ years in software engineering and experience as both a hands-on engineer and startup CTO, I bring deep technical execution together with an understanding of architecture, product constraints, and the realities of delivering software inside real organizations.

Enterprise Banking Modernization
At KeyBank, I worked on the KeyNavigator commercial banking platform across Angular, Capacitor, Node.js, NestJS, and MongoDB.
- Led modernization of the client home dashboard with reusable, configuration-driven components
- Designed an enterprise preferences platform that supports flexible user configuration across web and mobile
- Built shared service layers for preferences, entitlements, and user profiles while modernizing mobile functionality

How I Work

I start by identifying the real system underneath the requirements: durable constraints, data relationships, operational realities, and assumptions that may change. From there, I favor architectures that are simple enough to understand, modular enough to evolve, reusable where reuse reduces complexity, and observable and testable in production.
I value strong technical opinions, but I expect those opinions to change when better evidence appears. Clear communication, thoughtful collaboration, and reliable execution matter as much as the design itself.
Technical Leadership Without Leaving the Code
Broader leadership experience applied to hands-on individual-contributor work.
I’ve served as a CTO, architect, technical lead, mentor, and individual contributor. That experience helps me understand the organizational and business consequences of technical decisions, but my preferred role today is hands-on: designing systems, writing production code, reviewing architecture, mentoring engineers, and helping teams solve difficult technical problems.
I’m particularly interested in Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead IC, and hands-on Software Architect opportunities where I can remain close to the code while having broader technical impact.
